Zuv Inventory is built so that we never see your shop's data. There is no Zuv Inventory server: the app stores everything on your phone and backs it up to your own Google account.
Information from your Google account
You sign in with Google. The app receives your name, email address and profile photo from Google and uses them only to show which account is signed in and to connect to your Google Drive. They are kept on your phone and are not sent to us or anyone else.
Google Drive access
The app asks for one Drive permission, drive.appdata. It lets the app create and read files in a hidden folder that belongs only to this app in your Google Drive. The app cannot see, open or change any of your other Drive files.
The app uses this folder to store backups of your shop data. It keeps the 10 most recent backups and deletes older ones. You use these backups to restore your shop on a new phone or after reinstalling.
Data stored on your phone
Products (names, barcodes, SKUs, prices, stock levels and categories), bills (including any customer name or phone number you enter), stock history and your bill settings (business name, logo and tax rate) are stored in a database on your phone. This data is uploaded only to the hidden app folder in your own Google Drive, as described above.
Camera and photos
The camera is used only to scan barcodes; no pictures are saved. If you choose a logo for your bills, the app reads that one image from your photo library and stores a small copy inside the app (and in your Drive backups). Nothing is sent to us.
Customer information
If you enter a customer's name or phone number on a bill, you are responsible for having their permission. That information is stored only on your phone and in your own Drive backups.
No tracking or sharing
The app has no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and we do not sell or share any data. The only network requests the app makes are to Google (sign-in and Drive) and to Expo's update service to download app updates; update requests contain no personal or shop data.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Zuv Inventory's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Deleting your data
- From your phone: sign out in Settings (the app backs up first, then removes the shop from the phone), or uninstall the app.
- From Google Drive: open Google Drive settings โ Manage apps, find Zuv Inventory, and choose Delete hidden app data.
- Revoke access: remove Zuv Inventory at myaccount.google.com/connections.
Children
The app is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
